SNEAKER EXCHANGE: PACKER SHOES X SOLEBOX
The year 2017 is officially 11 months in, which means that adidas Consortium's Sneaker Exchange project is nearing its completion. However, before putting an end to the year long project, retailers Packer Shoes and Solebox are next in line for their collaborative efforts on the UltraBOOST Mid and Energy Boost models.
Taking inspiration from a point on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge where the Eurasian and American tectonic plates meet, Packer Shoes and Solebox give the UltraBOOST Mid and Energy BOOST models an aquatic theme with gradient shades of navy, light blue, grey and white. The UltaBOOST Mid is primarily covered in black, while a gradient effect turns light grey at the collar thanks to a static print collar which is equally spread out across the upper. Turquoise hits can be found on the back and front pull tabs for a finishing touch.
Complementing the UltraBOOST Mid in the Silfra Rift pack, the Energy BOOST mainly uses a light blue colour which sports the same static print allowing the blue to fade into light grey at the toe box and heel. Switching it up from nearly every previous Energy BOOST up until today, the cage is translucent and features overlays indicating location coordinates. Packer Shoes and Solebox branding can be found at the heel cup of each sneaker, as well as on the front pull tab.
The adidas Originals Consortium x Packer Shoes x Solebox UltraBOOST Mid and Energy BOOST will be available to purchase through FRENZY at 9AM this Saturday, November 11th.
