OTH x Vans 7th Anniversary
Vans is one of the most known brands in the world and, thanks to the ever-iconic jazz stripe, a pair is never hard to spot.
There are Vans for everybody. With the company’s roots in skating and surfing, Vans ties to the activewear world remain strong. But, with timeless archives and an ever-expanding offering, there are also Vans for those that don’t skate or surf. For seven years now, that’s what the Vans OTH space has aimed to shed light on: the Vans that deserve a place in your day-to-day wardrobe.
Vans OTH was one of the very first lifestyle-focused spaces that Vans opened with a partner retailer and we like to think that, in the years since, we’ve helped introduce our customers to some of the brand’s lesser known models. Whether that’s through our curated seasonal selection or our twice-a-year collaborations doesn’t matter to us. From the Black Crab and Varsity projects to the Ringleaders Prison Issue LX and Deli Edition Mid Skool LX, what’s important is giving people something unique and telling a story, with both the experience and the product.
That's why the Vault by Vans is at the heart of the Vans OTH partnership. The line, directed by Taka Hayashi, houses some of Vans’ standout archival models and more, well, unique, takes on some classics. So while you can never go wrong with a pair of black Old Skools, white Authentics or navy Sk8-His, Vans’ true magic lies in its diverse and eclectic offering.
Clearly, Vault by Vans and our lifestyle-driven space —which features almost-monthly installations— are working as droves of happy customers keep coming back. Since 2011, it’s been something of a summer ritual for us to outfit Montrealers —and our out-of-town customers!— with some of the coolest and most luxurious shoes that Vans has to offer.
