North Face is bringing back its Summit Series this season with a kit of six layers, specially created for alpine mountaineers. From L1 to L6, it includes base layers, mids, jackets, and shell pants. Needless to say that it will keep you warm from the cold ass weather of the Canadian winter.
However, it's accurate to give props to the North Face team that completely rethink the structure of a coat with this collection, mainly with a trademarked fabric named FuseForm. It's a weaving construction for the down jacket that fuses light and strong together; also seamless for an extended range-of-motion. Add to this another layer with a breathable Gore-Tex shell designed to keep you dry and warm. If it is made to survive in harsh mountain conditions, it should work for the city too!
