To celebrate the beginning of warmer days and our new collaboration with M. Bootyspoon, we threw the best St-Jean barbecue party you could ever ask for. Located on William Gray’s rooftop, Le Perché gathered artists, musicians, designers, friends, and friends of friends to jam to some of the city's finest DJs, drink together, and feast on some free corn.
Faithful to his wild and entertaining style, Martyn Bootyspoon brought fire to the dancefloor and gave us a near heart-attack when he twerked on top of his set giving everyone on the streets and on the terrace the best view one could have in the city. Temporary tattoos were going around, people were wearing their flyest fits, and Magic System was blasting on the speakers—all signs of a successful party.
Martyn Bootyspoon—fierce local DJ and friend of ours—brings more than funk to the city. In a collaboration with OTH, the music aficionado came through with three pieces displaying a nod to Montreal's iconic adult cinema, and an homage to the neighborhood in which he refined his creative assets. To further show his love of the city and the people who define it, all of the profits from the collection will go to Chez Stella: a community organization whose primary mission is to improve the quality of work and life for woman-identified sex workers and educate the general public on sex work. Not only are we always proud to work with young talent, but even more so when it’s for a great cause.
