Cinéma Vérité - “Collection 1. Idées vagues, images claires”
Cinéma Vérité is an art project from Paris and Los Angeles that utilises garments and accessories as its medium. The first collection is inspired the french New Wave’s aesthetic by using graphic design, a simple but striking colour palette and an elaborate sense of composition and movement.
The designers’ goal was to transcend their love of films with a new generation of people who might not know about it.
Their shared love of cinema and its variety of multi-layered aesthetics has prompted them to envision a line of clothing that draws from different eras and genres. With researched materials and quality fabrics that work to bring thoughtful designs to life, each piece is an ode to the genre it embodies.
Their debut collection, “Collection 1. Idées vagues, images claires” will be unveiled at a special World Premiere happening Friday, March 15 at OTH-4357.
