A couple weeks ago we introduced you to our good friend Danny Smiles, head chef at Le Bremner, Top Chef Canada contestant, and all around good guy. Danny has a new website with photos from our own Jeremy Patterson. Check it out here.

Fidèle mécène de OTH depuis 2006, Danny Smiles a été témoin des changements qui ont eu lieu au 1021 Ste. Catherine Ouest. Ayant grandi avec un intérêt particulier pour le snowboard, le skateboard et la musique, Danny s’est toujours senti proche du concept et de l’équipe OTH, et n’a jamais hésité à nous rendre visite. Beaucoup de choses se sont passées au fil des années pour Danny et pour OTH, mais notre rapport ne s’est qu’amélioré et va désormais au delà d’une simple relation retail.
Sept ans plus tard, Danny continue de magasiner et de rendre visite à ses amis chez Off The Hook. Ayant depuis franchi de nombreuses étapes, Danny est désormais premier chef au restaurant Le Bremner situé dans le Vieux Montréal et il vient d’être sélectionner par Top Chef Canada comme contendant pour la troisième saison ! Nous avons adoré voir Danny développer son potentiel pour devenir le meilleur dans son domaine. Toute l’équipe a été invité au Bremner pour notre party de Noël 2012 et nous avons pu voir Danny dans son élément, nous amener à la chaine des plats composés de la meilleure nourriture que l’on puisse déguster. Retrouvez Danny dans la troisième saison de Top Chef Canada à partir du 18 Mars et gardez l’oeil ouvert pour les projets à venir entre Danny Smiles et OTH!
A loyal patron at OTH since 2006, Danny Smiles has seen a lot of changes take place within the walls of 1021 Ste. Catherine Ouest. Growing up with a particular interest for snowboarding, skateboarding, and music, Danny always felt he had much in common with both the product and staff at OTH, and always felt comfortable stopping by. Through the years much has changed for both Danny and OTH, but the relationship has grown into much more than your average retail relationship.
Fast forward seven years, Danny still comes to Off The Hook to shop and touch base with his OTH friends. Having made some big strides of his own, Danny now sits as head chef at Le Bremner restaurant in Old Montreal, and has been recruited by Top Chef Canada as a contestant for season 3! It has been great to watch Danny realize his potential, and watch him strive to be the best at his trade. Inviting the OTH team to Le Bremner for our 2012 xmas staff party, we all got to see Danny in his environment as he rolled out dish after dish of some of the most incredible food we have ever eaten. Be on the lookout for Danny on Top Chef Canada season 3 airing March 18th, and stay tuned for more Danny Smiles x OTH collaborations in the near future!
OTH at Le Bremner
L’équipe des managers OTH était invitée la semaine dernière au Bremner, restaurant situé dans le Vieux Montreal. Nous y avons partagé un dîner succulent dans un cadre plein de charme et en sommes repartis rassasiés après un enchainement de plats uniques dont on ne voyait pas le bout. Un grand merci à Chuck et Danny pour l’accueil et pour cette superbe soirée !
Last week, OTH’s team of managers was invited to Le Bremner in Old Montreal for a delicious shared meal in a charming setting. With a seemingly endless string of unique dishes being served, we all left more than satiated. Big thanks to Chuck and Danny for having us and making it such a great time!
