Carhartt & MHI
Une vague printanière d’un swag de malade continue d’arriver à OTH. Nous avons désormais les dernières collections Maharishi et Carhartt WIP en magasin ainsi que sur le site. La marque britannique streetwear Maharishi représente le “design militaire pacifique” et aime beaucoup les coloris camo. Ils font mieux que quiconque dans leur domaine.
Pendant ce temps, l’excellente collection printemps Carhartt WIP nous propose des vestes denim fonctionnelles et, oui, du camouflage. Après avoir obtenu le statut de marque culte en Europe à la fin des années 90, Carhartt, la célèbre marque américaine de vêtements de travail, lance Carhartt WIP. On réinterprète la ligne originale, on affine le tout et BOUM, nous voilà avec une nouvelle ligne streetwear.
Cette saison, on mise sur les épaisseurs. Jetez un œil aux ensembles ci-dessous et passez à la boutique cette semaine !
The spring surge of sick new swag at OTH continues as we now have Maharishi and Carhartt WIP’s latest in the store and on the site. UK streetwear brand Maharishi reps “pacifist military design” as their obsession with all things camouflage continues. They still do it better than anyone in the game.
Meanwhile, Carhartt WIP’s strong spring collection continues this season with functional denim jackets and yes, camo. We know Carhartt as an American workwear brand but Carhartt WIP actually started in Europe in the late 90′s after their original line gained a cult following there. Carhartt slimmed things down for the European crowd, reinterpreted the original line and – BOOM! – a new line of streetwear was born.

Un des manteaux matelassés Penfield est jumelé avec une chemise simple et des pantalons de couleur tonale ainsi qu’une clinquante paire de chaussures Gram 390g. Une tuque classique et des bas de laines complètent le look avec un peu de chaleur et de texture.
In this edition of Staff Outfit, JK has put together a simple, workwear inspired outfit. One of Penfield’s superb quilted jackets is thrown over a simple button-up which works great with some tonal pants and a flashy pair of Gram 390gs. A classic beanie and wool socks complete the look with some added warmth and texture.

Si vous n’avez pas déjà entendu parler de Gram, faisons simple : Gram est une entreprise suédoise fondée en 2005 qui fabrique de très belles chaussures pour homme. Ils nomment leurs produits par leurs poids exacts, et ça nous plait. Voilà. La collection Automne 2012 de Gram est donc désormais disponible à OTH et la Gram 380g Hand Punched mérite entièrement que l’on fasse un blog post à son sujet. Cette beauté de 380g est faite de cuir tanné à la main et présente un détail oxford, une partie supérieure en cuir sans oublier une doublure et un talon faits main. Bravo à ce confortable soulier de cuir manufacturé en Europe.
If you haven’t heard of Gram yet, we will keep it simple…Gram is a Swedish shoe company established in ’05 and they make really nice shoes for men. They also name their shoes by their exact weight, and we think that’s awesome. That being said, the Fall ’12 collection from Gram is now available at OTH and the Gram 380g Hand Punched comes highly qualified as blog-worthy. Made of hand punched leather with oxford detailing, this 380g beauty boasts a Leather upper and lining and man made heel. Three cheers for comfortable leather euro-man footwear!

Du nouveau de nos amis de chez Tiger avec quelques additions aux suggestions printemps/été de la boutique OTH. Comme toujours, WeSC propose des coupes dignes d’un tailleur et des couleurs parfaites pour la saison. Notre ami Juno est passé l’autre jour. On en a profité pour lui faire essayer de nouvelles fringues avec notamment le bob classique Penfield et une paire de Gram’s pleine d’allure. Quelle classe!

Gram, fondé à Stockholm en 1995 s’influence profondément de l’esthétique scandinave et leurs designs proposent de nouvelles choses en matière de souliers. Cette collection très attendue arrive à point pour les tenues sans chaussette du printemps. Le temps de la toile est venu.

For this week’s on your feet is the 380g model from our fairly recent brand, Gram. What is special about the Gram brand in general is that the weight of the shoe is indicated on the side of the heel and that is how they indicate each model.
Feature: GRAM
Founded in Stockholm, april 2005 by Alexis Holm and Anna Stenvi. The company’s primary goal is to design and produce a range of unique shoes, that reflect the present, yet rely on the past.
Materials are always at the core of every collection together with a strong Scandinavian design aesthetic, creating a uniquely wearable product. All items are created with minute attention to details and hands-on presence in all stages of development.

The concept of weight is very much a personal story, based in Alexi’s genuine interest for the technical side of design. Form, function, material and construction, all these parameters are part of the canvas on which we paint.
Each one lifeless without the other, but when brought together and balanced correctly, a gram shoe is born. Every pair is weighed as a means to express the intimate connection between the sum of its parts and the parts that make it what it is.
This is intended to give you a closer connection to the actual construction and materials used for our shoes.
