The Iconic Frogskin // L’emblématique Frogskin

Despite their presence on the modern fashion scene, the Oakley Frogskins are actually one of the oldest designs produced by the iconic eyewear brand. We brought a selection of colorways including the classic black. We were also able to get our hands on the “Acid Series” which features a clear frame and gray lenses. Next time you walk in, feel free to ask to try on a pair of Frogskins and we can also demonstrate how indestructible they are. Seriously.

The Holbrook by Oakley // Les Holbrook d’Oakley

Very lightweight, the Holbrook is a merge of a vintage style with high performance materials. The pure Plutonite lenses filter out every UV ray, so you can walk comfortably in the city during all of Montreal’s seasons.
“HOLBROOK is a small town found along historic Route 66 in Arizona that sits on the outskirts of the desert and the petrified forest. It’s a classic western badland that epitomizes a spirit of exploration and adventure found in those traveling along Highway 66 in the 50’s and 60’s.”
Jamie McDonell

Joe by Archive // Joe, par Archive
A lot of people like to have their keys at hand so they let them hang of their belt loop with a carabiner or something like that. It’s very useful, but it’s not very stealth. You can’t really sneek in on anybody when they can hear your keys dangling from a mile away. Montreal’s Archive made some nice leather key silencers. Your keys are still at hand, but they won’t make any sound and they’ll look pretty dope in the three tones of leather. Again perfect to complete a christmas gift.
Porter Yoshida: Face 2Way
The Face2Way bag is a great alternative bag from Porter. The handbag allows for a more dressed look rather than the casual canvas backpacks we’ve gotten from this season. It’s multiple pockets and larger section allows for a laptop and several documents for office use.
Porter Yoshida: Klunkers
The klunkers bag by Porter Yoshida is perfect for everyday use. Made in Japan, this backpack will last you a lifetime, the quality on Porter items is brilliant. This bag is the perfect size, it isn’t too bulky, but there’s enough space to fit your essentials. It’s chest strap will keep you comfortable when walking long distances and the bag features quick release straps to easily loosen them when you need to reach into your bag.

Canadian Expedition: Vancouver
It’s getting pretty irrelevant to post photos of my trip across Canada since I’ve been back for a month now, but I still wanna grace you guys with images from the west coast. I was very excited to get to Vancouver, it’s a very nice city. Nothing even approaches Montreal’s atmosphere, but I still grandly appreciated Van city. I spent most of my time in gastown, which is Vancouver’s first downtown core. It is named after “Gassy” Jack Deighton, a Yorkshire seaman, steamboat captain and barkeep who arrived in 1867 to open the area’s first bar. Although there’s a lot of crackheads and the back alleys look more like a scene from 28 days later than anything, this neighborhood is filled with interesting retail, food & tattoo spots. I’ve spent some times with the guys over at HAVEN and I also checked out Roden Gray, Alife, Stussy and the recently opened Neighbour.
What is the most impressive about the West coast is their landscape. They are located in the Rockies, so looking around often blesses you with a breath taking landscape.

Video of the Week
Champion is probably my favorite hardcore band ever. And promises kept is one of their greatest song. The lyrics reflect truly the unity and the
feeling of brotherhood that surrounds hardcore. I also had to show you guys the video of their last performance. This is the true essence of a hardcore show. Straight edge or not, these words give you drive.
Safewalls Pop-up Shop in Montreal
Last Saturday I biked to the Old Port to assist to the Safewalls Pop-up Shop that was installed in a tent next to the Cirque du Soleil’s giant chapiteau. I truly support Safewalls because it believes in street art and throws it upward while keeping the art’s true flavor. Artists like Frank Kozik, Ron English and Miss Van took their own twist on some iconic Cirque du Soleil posters. Something big is coming to Montreal with Safewalls in fall, stay tuned!
Canadian Expedition: The Road, Part II
We passed by the Okanagan Valley, which is the center of the fruit agriculture in Canada. I met up with some friends that are spending the summer over there camping and working in wineries and other fields. “The money is good” they say. After that, we finally started to pass through the Rockies. At least that’s what we thought. You start taking a lot of pictures of the mountains and all but, you don’t know there will be much more to come. And that what is up next is much more magnificent.
Canadian Expidition: Calgary
Next stop was Calgary. The Wolfpack and I mainly hung out in the city. Even though the nightlife in Calgary is nothing compared to Montreal, we still decided to go for a drink. Most of the bars close at 2am, so we found ourselves in the most random house parties after. Yet no pictures of my uncanny nights.
Canadian Expedition: The Badlands
Preceding our arrival in Calgary, we took a little detour to find ourselves in the Canadian Badlands. These lands are rich in clay and soft rocks and are visually extensively eroded by the wind and the water. This region is a national park where a lot of archeological searches thrived. That’s why we stumbled upon this structure where glass walls were separating us from an archeological site where we could see the uncovered bone structure of a dinosaur. We almost took a whole day to lose ourselves in this Canadian desert. The endless land and sky where very impressive, this stop was definitely worth it.
Canadian Expedition: Winnipeg
Our first official stop was in Winnipeg. Though we didn’t stay really long, we had time to get a good vibe from the city. We passed by the Canadian Rights Museum construction site, it is going to be massive. I’ll be interested to see the finished product. And finally, what caught my attention the most, is the Plaza Skatepark. This park is a true street skatepark inspired by renowned skate spots around the world. Winnipeg found the true agreement with their skateboarders. The solution isn’t to put grind stoppers everywhere. I think Montreal should truly start listening to the Montreal skateboarders and build with them a real street skatepark. I mean we arrived in Winnipeg around 7am and there was already kids at the park.
